Which is best?
On our recent adventures, we’ve done mostly tent camping. Tent camping makes it easy to transport everything. It all fits in my van without the worry of pulling a giant trailer through the mountains, deserts, and forests. However tent camping does involve my least favorite part of camping – sleeping on the ground. I’ve tried cots, air matresses, pads, and everything in between – you’re still sleeping on the ground!
We have a popup camping, which does solve the problem of sleeping on the ground, but brings its own challenges. Maintenance, pulling it, and setting it up stink. Like the vehicle, campers require upkeep, registration, insurance, and the room they take up. Tents just sit on a shelf in the garage until needed again. Would a hardside camper solve some of these problems or would it present it’s own problems?
