One of my favorite hobbies is fishing! Some of my greatest memories growing up include fishing with my Dad and Grandpa on Grandpa’s boat. I bought my own fixerupper boat a few years back but like most of my projects, it has taken more work than I thought to get and keep it ready!
Trout Fishing
Growing up in Iowa, I was not able to trout fish often as they’re not very common here (the water gets too warm in the summer). My grandpa took us a few times when we’d go visit him in Wisconsin.
A couple of years ago I started taking my boys on an annual boys camping trip in northern Iowa to go trout fishing. There are also a couple of lakes around here that stock trout during the colder months. I have not had the best luck with those but am eager to try again!
